A Moscow court has ordered the arrest of Timur Musin for two months in connection with a recent car crash on Berezhkovskaya Embankment. He will remain in a pre-trial detention center during this period.
Authorities have opened a criminal case against Musin for violating traffic laws.
The crash injured several adults and two children. According to official statements, Musin ran a red light and struck pedestrians who were crossing the street.
He fled the scene. A woman born in 1988 was reportedly in the car with him. Musin was later apprehended.
