On Friday evening, a loud crash echoed through downtown St. Petersburg when a car and a motorcycle collided at the intersection of Nevsky Prospect and Bolshaya Konyushennaya Street.
Emergency services quickly arrived. Paramedics attended to the injured motorcyclist, while police blocked the lane where he lay on the pavement.
Video footage shows the man was conscious, raising his arms as if trying to move. He was later taken away by ambulance. The car driver is expected to face a lengthy evening with law enforcement.
